Future of Heathhall Business Park
Heathhall industrial estate was acquired in late 2007 by three Dumfriesshire businessmen who are in the process of developing the estate so as to provide a high quality working environment for a range of business uses, including self storage units for the Dumfries area. The plans for the centre include:
- A comprehensive CCTV installation programme for Heathhall in 2008 to ensure a secure environment for tenants, whether self storage, commercial or industrial.
- Development of 2000mē of garaged self storage units in 2009
- Considerable investment in Heathhall's road network to achieve a standard suitable for sizeable traffic flow
- Investment in the current building stock to improve both the appearance and usability of the accommodation
- The estate will be zoned so as to segregate the different land uses accordingly
- A complete review and renovation of signage throughout the estate to ensure both brand consistency and adequate sign marking
In subsequent months and years the medium to long-term objective is to attract quality businesses to Heathhall and Dumfries and to invest in the infrastructure accordingly.
