Andy Brownhill, is a businessman passionate about anything motor-based.  He runs four motor related business activities from his premises on Spitfire Road, Heathhall Business Centre.

Having moved from England in 2014, Andy started trading from his first industrial unit in Heathhall running Hand Job Car Wash and Valeting Service.   As the business grew he saw an opportunity to expand his business into each of the four adjacent units as they became available.

When we met Andy, he was keen to tell us more about Dumfries Powder Coating.  They specialise in giving car wheel alloys a second lease of life, thanks to a combination of high quality materials and professional skills.

Andy told us he sandblasts the metal frames to strip them back to bare metal and completely rust-free.  It is then powder coated and baked hard to a finish which he claims will last more than 10 years.

From their premises in Heathhall they also operate the Carriage Company and aptly named Spitfire Garage (Heathhall Business Centre was originally an old WW2 aerodrome!).

Andy says “when I started I had just one unit, and when the units next door came available I spoke with Heathhall Business Cente to give me the space to expand”.

Andy says he has noticed a big change in Heathhall Business Centre since he first moved here.  “It is much busier than it was, and consequently more and more customers are finding us here”.

Heathhall Business Centre is continuing to invest heavily to improve and develop its commercial property to let, and just like with Andy, will always try to accommodate the expanding needs of its clients.  We have this flexibility due to the large variety of commercial space we have on offer to all trades.
